Kundalini Yoga itself has been around for a very long time but only within the last 40 years or so has it been taught publicly.  Yogi Bhajan, the Master of Kundalini Yoga, brought these teachings from India to the west in 1968 – firstly to Canada and then America.  From there it has spread worldwide.  Yogi Bhajan brought Kundalini Yoga to the West because the time is now upon us when we need this technology.  We are strapped for time in all that we do.  Few of us have the time to spend hour upon hour on our self development and wellbeing in this fast-paced world of the 21st century.

Yogi Bhajan
Practicing Kundalini Yoga as taught by Yogi Bhajan is different! There is nothing else quite like it that you might choose to do for your self development today.
How is it different??  Firstly, Kundalini Yoga is different because it is fast acting; meaning that you will feel the effects on all levels of your being pretty much after your first class.  Considering most of us have little spare time that is a very helpful benefit.  Incorporating a simple practice of 11 minutes a day can help get you started on your road to self improvement.
Here is a little something to try the next time you are feeling anxious or stressed. Sit down with a straight spine and close off your right nostril with you finger tip and breathe long and slowly through the left nostril only for approximately 3 – 7  – 11 minutes and feel the results. You should feel much calmer, more ready to deal with whatever has been stressing you.
Kundalini Yoga uses the concept of Kriya which is a complete action from beginning to end, using a sequence of postures to form the whole.  Some Kriyas are postural and some are meditative.  Generally we start a class with a postural kriya and move into the meditative kriya when the nervous and glandular systems are adjusted which will make your meditative practice much easier for you. For many it is an opening that is profound, allowing them to see things more clearly allowing for more intention and clarity in all aspects of life.
I look forward to seeing any of you who are interested in Kundalini Yoga as taught by Yogi Bhajan in class and sharing these wonderful techniques with you.

Yours humbly,
