Healing and Emotional Release at the Pisces Full Moon

With Mars joining Mercury on its journey through Libra from the 15th of September there is a shift in initiative and drive towards harmonizing polarities, cooperation, balance and fairness. And yet indecision and the careful weighing up of the pros and cons can slow down the action when Mars is in the sign opposite to its natural abode.

Just twelve hours prior to the Full Moon, the Pisces Moon unites with its ruler Neptune enabling an important and deep release on an emotional level of what one is ready to let go of for your spiritual growth and to allow space for new directions. Surrender to the urge to slow down at this contemplative time and give yourself some space for release, transcendence a little visionary dreaming.

Then the Full Moon occurs at 9:54 am on the 21st of September at the penultimate degree of the Zodiac, the 29th degree of Pisces, characterised as Light Breaking into Many Colours through a Prism. This speaks to the need to break the situation down into its simpler components in order to see the full picture. Just as the Full Moon itself is a transient experience, we are being reminded that the most beautiful and seemingly everlasting experience of unity will in time be superseded by the need to attend to a multiplicity of details. Existence means differentiation. The Pisces Full Moon brings the order of the Sun in Virgo into opposition with the apparent chaos of the Moon in Pisces.  This is the axis of healing, of connection to spirit and of how we show up in the world. So close to the end of the zodiac this is a point of deep release. Try to not overanalyse things at this creative time.

An exact Air Trine between Mercury in Libra and Jupiter in Aquarius coinciding with the Full Moon could bring some much needed good news. It’s a happy and generous pairing of harmony and fair mindedness with trust in the unity of all humanity amid broad tolerance for a variety of free expression.

The very next day Mercury forms the first of three squares to Pluto with the second and third perfecting in October and November. This may bring to the light of day secret information that has been buried and it is suggestive of a need to learn through intense, transformative experiences.

On the 23rd of September, at the moment when the Sun joins Mercury and Mars in Libra, we celebrate the Spring Equinox. With the balance of equal night and day this is also a time when the veil between the worlds is thin. This Sun radiates sociable, graceful, intellectual vitality and a refined sensitivity to beauty.

Mercury commences it retrograde journey through Libra on the 28th of September. While Libra strives to create harmony between people and with our outward communications, the retrograde journey calls us inward to first achieve a mental balance between our relationships with others and our personal aspirations. In this inward journey Mercury joins Jupiter, Saturn, Neptune, Pluto and Uranus on their retrograde path. None of these key planetary energies will be moving forwards until mid October.
