STAY AWAKE AND BE AWAKENED
Join Namo Dev on this auspicious day for an afternoon workshop celebrating Mahashivratri –
The Great Night of Shiva. This will be her last teaching before returning to India.
Each year Mahashivratri falls on the night before the new moon over February/March, the
darkest day of that month. It is one of the biggest celebrations in India and for yogis it is
particularly significant because of the possibilities it presents to one walking the spiritual path.

On this day, the planet is positioned in such a way that there is a natural upsurge of energy in
a human being and therefore nature pushes one towards ones spiritual peak.“It is an
opportunity for one to dissolve their limitedness, to experience the unboundedness of the
source of creation, which is the seed in every human being. Mahashivratri is an opportunity
and a possibility to bring yourself to that experience of the vast emptiness within every human
being, which is the source of all creation.”

In order to allow for this natural upsurge of energies to find their way, the spine must remain
vertical. In this workshop, we will practice kriyas from the Kundalini Yoga lineage that keep
the spine vertical as well as specific kriyas that Yogi Bhajan gave to invoke the energy of Shiva.
Come to be awakened.
