THE SPRING EQUINOX A KUNDALINI YOGA WORKSHOP With Namo Dev
In our earthly journey around the sun, the two equinoxes are times in which the earth’s equator passes through the centre of the sun. This creates a balance of light and dark on the day of, and surrounding the equinox. As living beings, we are affected by the environment around us. As nature experiences this balance of light and dark, it brings an opportunity to reflect on this in our
own lives. With the spring equinox also comes the promise of emerging out of the darkness of winter and into the light of the warmer seasons. In the months following, we begin to experience more and more light leading up to and peaking on the day of the summer solstice. This period is one of growth. We clear out the debris of winter, renew and revitalise, and plant seeds of intention that we will nurture with our love, humility and loyalty until ready for harvest. So on this day of the spring equinox let us emerge from hibernation, connect to the rhythms of nature and find balance between light and dark in an afternoon of practice with an equinox kriya from Kundalini Yoga followed by the cosmic sounds of the Gong.
