SUMMARY:Trauma Recovery Program with Billie Atherstone
DESCRIPTION:Finding ease & calm for the trauma-affected nervous system\nTrauma Recovery Program\n\nA 14 week Trauma-informed Yoga Program to support you to process & resolve trauma symptoms \nwith Billie Atherstone\n\nThis course is an evidence based course for people who would like to heal the traumatised nervous system. Research shows that the body stores trauma in muscle tissue\, the nervous system & brain. The effects of stored trauma can include nightmares\, anxiety\, panic attacks\, depression\, insomnia\, fear & a compromised immune system. There has been significant stress & strain throughout these times ~ this is a program to help you safely shift emotional distress & numbness and gently process trauma.\n\n\nTone the Vagus Nerve through somatic based yoga & meditation practices.\n\n\nThis specialised yoga program addresses the underlying cause of trauma & helps you to restore\, recover and renew a positive connection to your mind and body. The classes are a combination of physical exercises\, breathwork\, meditations & mindfulness that we slowly build skill in throughout the program\, developing your capacity to connect with body & your inner self and foster a kind and tender space to cultivate safety\, trust and confidence. No prior yoga experience is necessary.\n\n\nBegins Wednesday August 5\, 2026\nClasses are each Wednesday at 12:00pm-1:15pm\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThis Trauma Recovery Program is designed to support sustainable recovery and management of the effects of trauma. There are two stages to the program\, with a two week break between each stage:\nStage One: Foundations & Experience.\nA 7 week course to introduce the principles of the practices and open a new awareness of self.\nStage Two: Integration & Renewal.\nA 7 week course to continue to target the physiology of trauma and connect with a stable\, illumined self.\n\n\nYou can participate in this program online\, but need to consult with Billie to determine if it is appropriate for you at this time.  There will be a two week break (no classes) on 8th & 15th of April.\n\n\n\n$510 / $468 concession or members\n\n\nTo register online you will be required to pay a $70 deposit and then we will be in touch with you\, closer to the date\, to finalise your payment.\nOption to pay in 2 payments (to be paid by wk5).\nIncludes a one on one check in & Vagal Nerve Stimulation session.\n\n\n\nPay the $70 Deposit on Booking\nBOOK NOW\n  \n\n\nTestimonial:\n“This course feels so nurturing and deeply healing for my trauma. Billie is teaching me to feel and stay present with my body rather than trying to escape. It can be challenging but I felt very held and supported all the way through. The course moves very slowly and the practices build gradually\, giving time to create a deep sense of safety and trust in the experience. It has a very gentle and nurturing feel throughout\, even with the more challenging practices. Billie is very present and attuned to us all\, she observes us while holding space for us and still gives individual guidance while being in the group. It feels like she knows what we all need. I will definitely be doing this course again and highly recommend it to anyone who has experienced any form of trauma.” KT\n\n\nFacilitator:\nBillie Atherstone is a IAYT Yoga Therapist and has been teaching trauma informed courses for PTSD for the past ten years. More than simply breathing exercises\, pranayama works with prana — the vital life force — through the conscious refinement of breath\, attention and energy. \nAcross five mornings\, we will combine accessible yogic philosophy with embodied practice\, developing a deeper understanding of how the breath can influence the nervous system\, steady the mind\, support yoga practice and prepare us for meditation. \nThroughout the intensive\, you will explore: \n\nBreath Awareness – Develop greater sensitivity to the natural rhythm\, movement and quality of your breath.\nPrana & the Pranamaya Kosha – Explore the yogic understanding of breath as a bridge between the physical body\, energy and mind.\nThe Five Vayus – Discover the five primary movements of prana and how they relate to different functions within the body.\nThe Nadis – Learn about the subtle channels through which prana is understood to move within the yogic system.\nNervous System Regulation – Experience how different breathing practices can support steadiness\, clarity\, alertness and relaxation.\nPreparation for Meditation – Use pranayama to gather attention\, quieten mental activity and create the conditions for deeper meditation.\n\nPractices may include Dirgha Pranayama\, Ujjayi Pranayama\, Kapalabhati\, Nadi Shodhana and Bhramari\, with techniques introduced progressively and with appropriate modifications. \nSuitable for complete beginners and experienced yoga practitioners alike\, this intensive offers an opportunity to move beyond simply “taking a deep breath” and develop a more refined\, embodied relationship with breathing. \nWhether you practise yoga regularly or are simply curious about breathwork\, you’ll leave with practical techniques you can return to in everyday life to support energy\, nervous system balance\, concentration and inner steadiness. \nYou can join all 5 sessions or come to just one. \n__________________________________________________________________________________________________ \nInvestment\n\n\nFull 5 Days (Mon–Fri): $120 Studio | $70 Online \n\n\nSingle Session: $28/$25 Studio | $16/$14 Online \n\nMembers FREE\n\nSee all pricing & payment options \nKeen to immerse yourself in all of our upcoming Spring intensives? SUMMARY:Gong Puja: Sound Journey: Echoes of the Earth
DESCRIPTION:GONG PUJA\nGong Puja Sound Journey: Echoes of the Earth\nWith \nCathy Loughrey\, Saskia Cleary\, Virginia Alexandra\, Praveen Hewage and Geoff Charles \nSaturday 17 October 2026 \n1:30pm – 5:45pm \nBOOK HERE  \nGong Puja is a profound sacred ceremony which promotes deep rest\, healing and transformation. It brings us back to the remembrance of our original state – the oneness of creation. \nDuring this Gong Puja Sound Journey we will align ourselves with the cosmos with a four hour Puja celebration in which the gongs are played continuously for 3 ½ hours. The word Puja means to honour\, it is the act of showing reverence and recognising the seed of GOD which resides within. \nThe GONG is the sacred universal sound. With each strike a newness comes into being. In the cosmic resonance our nervous system and aura may become vibrant and strong\, and a deep state of relaxation\, calmness and inner stillness can be experienced. \nThe individual’s journey may differ as the immersion in the sound works on healing aspects in each of us. A meditative state\, or deep sleep or a dream state may occur reasonably quickly. For some the experience of a deeper state through submerging into the cosmic sounds of the gongs may occur slowly. Whatever is encountered is perfect so trust the process. \nVibrate the cosmos and the cosmos will open the door and show the way! Clear\, relax and hear the whisper of the infinite and allow transformation. \nEvent details for Gong Puja.\nWe are delighted to welcome you to Gong Puja\, a sacred ceremony with gongs taking place at Kundalini House. \nThis is an all afternoon event on Saturday 17 October 2026 from 1:30pm to 5:45pm. \nPlease be advised that attendance is only possible for the full event. \nYour hosts for this event will be Cathy Loughrey\, Saskia Cleary\, Virginia Alexandra\, Praveen Hewage and Geoff Charles\, with the event organiser Kundalini House. \nPlease arrive in plenty of time to complete your registration and set-up your mat. The door will be closed at 1:30pm.  Gong Puja will commence at 1:30pm and conclude at 5:45pm. \nWe are planning a special event with an afternoon of magic where you can rest\, relax and meditate immersed in the sound of the gongs. The combination of Earth Gongs will take you on a journey from the deep rumbles of Sound Creation to the heart and up to the ethers partnered with the crystalline frequency from the titanium gong.  It is a magical combination of the Sound Creation Earth Gong\, Earth and Platonic Year Gongs which we are excited to be able to bring together. \nOur Gong Puja will commence with the ceremonial conch as we call in the six directions before moving into 3 ½ hours of gong immersion where you can rest\, relax\, and meditate in the sound current. The last strike of the gong will be followed by a short period of silence. \nGong Puja is an individual experience\, and as with a Gong Sound Bath Immersion\, the experience of each person in the room maybe quite different. Trust your experience is perfect for you. \nInvestment\nFull $125 and conc/KH-members $100 \nBOOK HERE \nInformation for participants:\nYou will be asked to fill in a registration form for this event. Extra pillows may help with your comfort.\nEye cover\nYou can bring ear plugs if you are sensitive to noises in the room\, specifically snoring as this is likely to occur. The ear plugs will not prevent you receiving the benefits of the sound bath.\nLighting in the room will be dim. As this is an afternoon event we will have day light hours of sun through the windows. You must ensure your hosts are aware of any medical conditions or limitations before this event.  During the Gong Puja it is possible to feel different emotions and physical sensations. It is an individual experience and the experience of each person in the room maybe quite different. We ask that you trust your experience is right for you.  Your registration form will be sent to you with your “Welcome to Gong Puja” e-mail prior to the event or you may contact Kundalini House if you would like this sent earlier. \nThe concept of Gong Puja was created by Don Conreaux and is taught as part of Gong Master training.  Many Gong Pujas have run across the world\, generally as an overnight 7.5 hour gong sound immersion the length of gong puja can be varied.
