SUMMARY:Kundalini Yoga Aquarian Sadhana
DESCRIPTION:Kundalini Yoga Aquarian Sadhana\nwith Jai Inder & friends\nDate: Sunday 12 JulyTime: 5:00am–7:45amLocation: Kundalini House\, North Fitzroy / MelbourneInvestment: By donationSuitable for: Beginners through to advanced students \nBook Now\nDuring this Aquarian Sadhana\, we gather as a community to chant\, move\, breathe\, meditate and listen deeply. The practice is simple\, devotional and powerful — a way to begin the day in connection with yourself\, with the teachings\, and with the wider Kundalini Yoga community. \nWhether you have attended Sadhana many times before or are curious to experience it for the first time\, you are warmly welcome. \n\nWhat is Aquarian Sadhana?\nAquarian Sadhana is a traditional Kundalini Yoga morning practice. It is usually practised during the amrit vela\, the quiet time before sunrise\, when the nervous system and mind can be especially receptive to meditation and inner stillness. \nA group Sadhana is different from a regular yoga class. The facilitator speaks minimally\, and the emphasis is on shared practice rather than instruction. There is a feeling of devotion\, simplicity and presence. \nPractising Sadhana in a group can be deeply harmonising. The energy of the group helps balance and support each person — where one person may feel tired\, another may bring steadiness; where one may feel tender\, another may bring strength. Together\, the group creates a field of practice that can feel grounding\, uplifting and deeply peaceful. \nGetting up for Sadhana is a personal victory. It is an opportunity to meet the quiet of the morning before the birds rise\, to connect with nature\, and to enter the day from a place of stillness and clarity. \n\nSadhana Outline\n5:00am — Reading of a spiritual text5:20am — Adi Mantra and Kundalini Yoga Kriya6:20am — Aquarian Sadhana Mantras\, accompanied by live music at times7:30am — Ardas and Hukum7:45am — Closing \n\nWhat You May Experience / Gain\nThis Winter Solstice Sadhana may support you to: \n\nslow down and reset during the depth of winter\nconnect with the quiet\, meditative hours before sunrise\nexperience Kundalini Yoga in a traditional devotional format\nfeel held by group practice and mantra\ncultivate inner steadiness\, humility and peace\nreconnect with your spiritual practice and community\nbegin the day with clarity\, presence and devotion\n\nNo previous experience with Kundalini Yoga or Sadhana is required. Beginners are welcome. \n\nWho This Event is For\nThis event is suitable for: \n\nbeginners through to advanced Kundalini Yoga students\nanyone curious about Aquarian Sadhana\nthose wanting to honour the Winter Solstice through spiritual practice\nstudents who enjoy mantra\, meditation and community practice\nanyone seeking a deeper sense of stillness\, renewal and connection\n\nAll practices are accessible\, and you are welcome to modify or rest as needed. \n\nWhat To Bring\nPlease bring: \n\ncomfortable clothing for yoga and meditation\na warm shawl\, jumper or blanket\nwater\nanything you like to use for meditation\, such as a sheepskin\, cushion or eye covering\nan open heart and willingness to practise\n\nAs this practice begins early in the morning\, we recommend arriving quietly and allowing yourself time to settle. \n  \n\nFAQs\nIs this suitable for beginners?\nYes. This Sadhana is suitable for beginners through to experienced Kundalini Yoga students. You do not need to know the mantras or practices beforehand. You are welcome to listen\, follow along and participate in a way that feels accessible. \nDo I need to have practised Kundalini Yoga before?\nNo. Some familiarity with yoga or meditation can be helpful\, but it is not required. This is a community practice\, and all are welcome. \nIs Aquarian Sadhana the same as a regular Kundalini Yoga class?\nNo. Sadhana is more devotional and meditative than a regular class. The facilitator keeps talking to a minimum\, and the focus is on shared practice\, mantra and stillness rather than detailed instruction. \nWhat happens during the Sadhana?\nThe morning includes a spiritual reading\, tuning in with the Adi Mantra\, a Kundalini Yoga kriya\, Aquarian Sadhana mantras with live music at times\, Ardas and Hukum. \nWhat if I need to rest during the practice?\nYou are welcome to rest\, modify or simply sit and listen at any time. The practice is an invitation\, not a performance. \nWhy is it held so early?\nSadhana is traditionally practised during the amrit vela\, the quiet hours before sunrise. This time is considered especially supportive for meditation\, prayer\, mantra and inner stillness. \nSupport Beyond The Workshop\nKundalini House offers a range of supportive services and classes to help you continue your healing journey\, including Yoga\, Pilates\, Acupuncture\, Osteopathy\, Massage\, Naturopathy\, Counselling and Meditation. \nWe also host regular workshops and events focused on nervous system regulation\, emotional wellbeing\, embodiment and holistic health in North Fitzroy\, Melbourne and live online where ever you are.

Through long-held\, supported postures\, we create space for the body to soften\, release accumulated tension\, and unwind patterns of physical and emotional holding. \nThe afternoon will conclude with deep relaxation and gong immersion\, offering an opportunity to integrate the practices\, settle the nervous system\, and rest deeply. \nYour nervous system will thank you for it. \n\nWhat You Will Learn\nDuring this workshop\, you will explore: \n\nThe foundations of Polyvagal Theory\nHow the nervous system influences health\, emotions\, and behaviour\nPractical vagal toning exercises to support regulation and resilience\nSomatic practices for grounding and self-awareness\nYin Yoga techniques for connective tissue health and mobility\nRelaxation practices to support long-term wellbeing\nTools you can integrate into everyday life\n\n\nWhat You May Experience\nParticipants may experience: \n\nDeep relaxation and rest\nReduced stress and tension\nGreater nervous system awareness\nImproved feelings of calm and groundedness\nIncreased body awareness and mindfulness\nEnhanced emotional wellbeing\nGentle release of physical and emotional holding patterns\nA greater sense of ease\, balance\, and connection\n\nEvery experience is unique\, and participants are encouraged to meet themselves exactly where they are. \n\nWho Is This Workshop For?\nThis workshop may be beneficial for those experiencing: \n\nStress\, overwhelm\, or burnout\nDifficulty relaxing or slowing down\nMental fatigue\nA busy or demanding lifestyle\nNervous system dysregulation\nA desire for deeper rest and self-care\nCuriosity about Polyvagal Theory\nInterest in Yin Yoga\, somatic practices\, or mindfulness\n\nNo previous experience is necessary. \nBeginners are warmly welcome. \n\nAbout the Teacher\nAngela Koutsofrigas\nAngela Koutsofrigas has been in private practice as a Chinese Medicine practitioner for over two decades.
