SUMMARY:The Heart Illuminated: A two-day Kundalini Yoga Immersion
DESCRIPTION:The Heart Illuminated: A two-day Kundalini Yoga Immersion\nTeacher: Nathan Scolaro\nDates: April\, 2026| Sat 18th- Sun 19thTime: 7:30am – 8:45am Location: Kundalini House Studio + Online \n\nEvent Description\nFrom a young age we learn to put up walls around our hearts. We experience pain and loss\, and other people’s expectations of us\, and we come up with adaptive strategies that close us off to the expansive power of our hearts\, and ultimately from the paths our souls set out for us. \nIn order to reconnect with that inner compass\, with the gold buried deep in our hearts that we are here to share with the world\, we have to let go of fixed ideas and grow our compassion for ourselves and others. \nThe heart-opening techniques of Kundalini Yoga can be a wonderful and accessible place to start. In this two-day immersion\, we will explore physical postures and movements\, as well as visualisation\, breathwork and meditation designed to lift the spirit and awaken the universal loving energy of the heart chakra. \nBetween Kundalini exercises and contemplation\, we will bathe in the poetry of some of the great maestros of the heart such as Rumi and Khalil Gibran\, and create a space where our hearts can gently unfurl and the gold within them can shine. \n\nInvestment\n\n\nFull Weekend Saturday & Sunday: $50 Studio | $30 Online \n\n\nSingle Session: $28/25 Studio | $16/12 Online \n\nMembers FREE\n\nSee all pricing & payment options \nKeen to immerse yourself in all of our upcoming Easter intensives? SUMMARY:MĀRGA Vol. 4: The Tantric Hatha Pathway Towards Meditation with Whitney Cummins
DESCRIPTION:MĀRGA Vol. 3: The Tantric Hatha Pathway Towards Meditation\nTeacher: Whitney CumminsDates: April\, 2026| Saturday 18th & Sunday 19thTime: 9:15–10:30-amLocation: Kundalini House Studio + Online \n\nEvent Description\nMĀRGA Vol. 4 continues the unfolding journey into the tantric hatha pathway — a precise and experiential route toward meditation. Building upon the foundations introduced in the first immersion\, this offering deepens your understanding of how āsana\, prāṇāyāma\, mantra\, and mudrā function as intentional steps along a transformative inner pathway (mārga). \nThese practices are not separate techniques\, but an integrated progression designed to refine perception\, cultivate subtle awareness\, and guide you toward meditative absorption (samāveśa). Whitney weaves together traditional hatha methods\, tantric philosophy\, breath and energy cultivation\, and meditation drawn from the non-dual tantric tradition\, creating a steady and accessible gateway into deeper states of consciousness. \nWhether you participated in previous MĀRGA immersions or are joining for the first time\, this is an opportunity to expand your practice\, build inner capacity\, and approach meditation from a place of embodied preparation. \n\nImmersion Overview\nAcross the two sessions\, you will explore: \n\n\nTantric Hatha āsana to stabilise the body and refine the flow of prāṇa \n\n\nPrāṇāyāma techniques to balance\, expand\, and channel subtle energy \n\n\nMantra and mudrā as tools to concentrate awareness \n\n\nNon-dual tantric meditation that invites direct\, lived experience \n\n\nEach session builds progressively\, supporting a shift from external practice into inner absorption and subtle perception. \n\nInvestment\nMembers FREE \nSpecial Bundled Rate (Both Sessions):Studio: $50 | Online: $30Select the ‘Series’ option when booking to access this rate. \nSingle Session:Standard single-class pricing applies. \nJoin for one session or immerse yourself in the full journey. \n\nBooking Links\nFull Series – Studio: Book NowFull Series – Online: Book Now \nSaturday – Studio: Book NowSaturday – Online: Book Now \nSunday – Studio: Book NowSunday – Online: Book Now \n\nAbout the Teacher\nWhitney guides Hatha Flow and Yin classes at Kundalini House with warmth\, steadiness\, and a deep respect for breath as the anchor of practice. She first discovered yoga at 19\, drawn in by conscious breathing and the spacious stillness of savasana. Years spent living and teaching abroad deepened her commitment to yoga as a grounding home base amidst change. \nHer training began in Rishikesh and has since expanded across diverse yogic traditions. She feels especially connected to Tantric Hatha\, Yoga Nidra\, mantra\, and prāṇāyāma\, and teaches from the understanding that yoga is fundamentally an energetic practice. Students appreciate her soothing voice\, breath-led sequencing\, and the calming\, spacious environments she creates. \nHer guiding reminder: “Follow your bliss.” Whitney has been teaching since 2019. \n\n✨ Whether you’re deepening your MĀRGA journey or stepping in for the first time\, Vol. 4 offers a grounded\, experiential\, and transformative pathway into meditation.

SUMMARY:Gong Puja Sound Journey: Echoes of the Infinite
DESCRIPTION:GONG PUJA \nEchoes of the Infinite: Gong Puja Sound Journey \nWith \nCathy Loughrey\, Saskia Cleary\, Virginia Alexandra\, Praveen Hewage and Geoff Charles \nSaturday 18 April 2026 \n1:30pm – 5:45pm \n  \nBOOK NOW \n  \nGong Puja is a profound sacred ceremony which promotes deep rest\, healing and transformation. It brings us back to the remembrance of our original state – the oneness of creation. \nDuring this Gong Puja Sound Journey we will align ourselves with the cosmos with a four hour Puja celebration in which the gongs are played continuously for 3 ½ hours. The word Puja means to honour\, it is the act of showing reverence and recognising the seed of GOD which resides within. \nThe GONG is the sacred universal sound. With each strike a newness comes into being. In the cosmic resonance our nervous system and aura may become vibrant and strong\, and a deep state of relaxation\, calmness and inner stillness can be experienced. \nThe individual’s journey may differ as the immersion in the sound works on healing aspects in each of us. A meditative state\, or deep sleep or a dream state may occur reasonably quickly. For some the experience of a deeper state through submerging into the cosmic sounds of the gongs may occur slowly. Whatever is encountered is perfect so trust the process. \nVibrate the cosmos and the cosmos will open the door and show the way! Clear\, relax and hear the whisper of the infinite and allow transformation. \nEvent details for Gong Puja. \nWe are delighted to welcome you to Gong Puja\, a sacred ceremony with gongs taking place at Kundalini House. \nThis is an all afternoon event on Saturday 18 April 2026 from 1:30pm to 5:45pm. \nPlease be advised that attendance is only possible for the full event. \nYour hosts for this event will be Cathy Loughrey\, Saskia Cleary\, Virginia Alexandra\, Praveen Hewage and Geoff Charles\, with the event organiser Kundalini House. \nPlease arrive in plenty of time to complete your registration and set-up your mat. The door will be closed at 1:30pm.  Gong Puja will commence at 1:30pm and conclude at 5:45pm. \nWe have a special event planned for you combining planet gongs Sedna\, Pluto\, Neptune with a titanium gong artistically created with the image of a dolphin. Our Gong Puja will commence with the ceremonial conch as we call in the six directions before moving into 3 ½ hours of gong immersion where you can rest\, relax\, and meditate in the sound current. The last strike of the gong will be followed by a short period of silence.  We hope to bring you an afternoon of magic. \nGong Puja is an individual experience\, and as with a Gong Sound Bath Immersion\, the experience of each person in the room maybe quite different. Trust your experience is perfect for you. \nInvestment \nFull $125 and conc/KH-members $100 \nInformation for participants: \nYou will be asked to fill in a registration form for this event. You must ensure the hosts are aware of any medical conditions or limitations before this event.  Please check information below. \nDuring Gong Puja silence is observed.  Mobile phones must be off or silenced. You will find we have already placed mats on the floor to define the room layout. You may use this mat or replace with your mat or place your mat over the top. \nWe suggest you bring all that you will need to be comfortable and is the size of a yoga mat (no wider or longer please). This may include: \n\nyoga mat(s)\nBlanket(s) – to cover over and you may like one on your mat for extra padding. Extra blankets may help with staying warm and layers will ensure you can lighten your cover should you require.\nPillows/ bolster for head and knee supports. Extra pillows may help with your comfort.\nEye cover\nYou can bring ear plugs if you are sensitive to noises in the room\, specifically snoring as this is likely to occur. The ear plugs will not prevent you receiving the benefits of the sound bath.\nLighting in the room will be dim. As this is an afternoon event we will have day light hours of sun through the windows. Window blinds maybe closed.\nWater bottle\n\nWe request you do not wear perfume\, after shave or scent as many people are sensitive to these. If you are a smoker then please ensure there is no lingering smell of this in your clothing\, mats and blankets.  People can be sensitive and some of the hosts are sensitive to these smells and prefer to not be suffering allergic reactions. \nAfter Gong Puja: \nWhilst there are no specific requirements\, we do recommend you allow yourself time to integrate\, relax and rejoice in your experience. \nReturn home safely. Take care if you are driving. Drink plenty of water. \nThe vibration from the gongs will probably remain with you for a period after Gong Puja. If you require any medication such as EpiPen for allergic reactions\, asthma relieving inhaler\, diabetics medication or medication for seizure then you should bring this with you. \nIf you have any recent significant physical injuries\, surgery or emotional trauma then you may like to consider whether this extended time spent lying on the floor in a group will be comfortable for you and that you will be able to move easily in and out of the room as you may need. \nYou will be asked to fill in a registration form for this event. You must ensure your hosts are aware of any medical conditions or limitations before this event.  During the Gong Puja it is possible to feel different emotions and physical sensations. SUMMARY:A Winter Solstice & International Yoga Day Celebration
DESCRIPTION:Winter Solstice Mantra Meditation & Japa Chanting | 108 Rounds of the Mahā Gāyatrī Mantra\nDate: Sunday 21 JuneTime: 6:45 PM – 8:00 PMVenue: Kundalini House MelbourneTickets: $30 / $25 Kundalini House MembersBookings: Through Kundalini House \nThis is an in-person only event. Spaces are limited and early bookings are recommended. \nBOOK HERE \nJoin Avril at Kundalini House in North Fitzroy Melbourne for a deeply grounding Winter Solstice mantra meditation and community chanting experience featuring 108 rounds of the Mahā Gāyatrī Mantra. This immersive evening of Japa meditation\, sacred sound and collective practice supports nervous system relaxation\, inner stillness\, reflection and connection through ancient yogic traditions. \nSuitable for beginners and experienced practitioners alike\, this welcoming meditation event offers an opportunity to slow down\, reflect\, and connect through the ancient yogic practices of mantra and meditation. \n\nEvent Description\nTogether\, we will chant 108 rounds of the Mahā Gāyatrī Mantra\, one of the most revered and luminous mantras of the Vedic tradition. This evening is an invitation to gather in reverence\, gratitude\, and quiet devotion\, calling in renewal\, illumination\, and connection for ourselves\, our community\, and the world around us. \nThe Winter Solstice marks the shortest day and longest night of the year in the Southern Hemisphere. Spiritually\, it is considered a powerful turning point — a time of stillness\, reflection\, and renewal. As the earth tilts away from the sun\, we pause to honour the sustaining light of the sun and the wisdom of the darker months. \nThe Mahā Gāyatrī Mantra\, originating from the Rig Veda\, is one of the oldest and most sacred Sanskrit mantras of the Vedic tradition. Traditionally chanted as a prayer for illumination and higher understanding\, it honours Savitṛ\, the radiant intelligence and life-giving force of the sun. \n\nWhat is Japa Meditation?\nJapa is the meditative repetition of sacred sound or mantra\, traditionally practised using mala beads to support focus\, rhythm\, and devotion. As the mantra is repeated\, the breath naturally settles\, the nervous system softens\, and the mind becomes steadier and more meditative. \nChanting in community can create a deeply immersive and grounding experience. The shared rhythm of voice\, breath\, and intention allows the vibrational quality of mantra to be experienced both individually and collectively. \nThe number 108 is considered sacred in yogic traditions and symbolises wholeness\, cosmic connection\, and the relationship between the individual and the infinite. During the practice\, we will use a Japa Mala to keep count as we chant continuously together. \n\nWhat You May Experience\nParticipants may experience: \n\nDeep relaxation and grounding\nNervous system calming through breath and sound\nGreater mental clarity and stillness\nEmotional connection and reflection\nA meditative sense of presence and inner quiet\nThe soothing effects of rhythmic chanting and vibration\n\nThis practice may also support mindfulness\, breath awareness\, emotional wellbeing\, and a deeper sense of connection through collective meditation. \n\nWhat to Expect\nThe evening will begin with a cup of tea and a gentle introduction to the meaning and significance of the practice. \nAvril will then guide: \n\nseveral rounds of call-and-response chanting\n108 repetitions of the Mahā Gāyatrī Mantra\na short closing period of silence\, meditation\, or rest in śavāsana\n\nNo prior experience with chanting\, meditation\, or Sanskrit is necessary. Beginners are warmly welcome. \nIf you do not wish to chant aloud\, you are welcome to simply rest and receive the sound and vibration of the practice. \n\nThe Mahā Gāyatrī Mantra\nOm Bhūr Bhuvaḥ SvaḥTat Savitur VareṇyamBhargo Devasya DhīmahiDhiyo Yo Naḥ Prachodayāt \nEnglish Translation\n\nWe meditate upon the divine radianceof the life-giving source\,the radiant light of Savitṛ.May that light illumine and guide our understanding. \n\n~ Rig Veda \n\nAbout the Teacher\nAvril is a Yoga and Vedic Meditation teacher who teaches within the Vedic tradition. She has received initiation into the Mahā Gāyatrī Mantra through a traditional yoga lineage and loves sharing the beauty and depth of Sanskrit mantra\, chanting\, meditation\, and yogic ritual. \nShe is passionate about creating meaningful community experiences through ancient yogic practices\, sacred sound\, and meditation. \n\nWhat To Bring\n\nWarm comfortable clothing\nA water bottle\nOptional mala beads\nAnything needed to feel comfortable seated on the floor\n\nPlease be prepared to sit on the floor or on cushions provided. \n\nBooking Information\nDate: Sunday 21 JuneTime: 6:45 PM – 8:00 PMVenue: Kundalini House MelbourneTickets: $30 / $25 Kundalini House MembersBookings: Through Kundalini House \nThis is an in-person only event. The facilitator speaks minimally\, and the emphasis is on shared practice rather than instruction. There is a feeling of devotion\, simplicity and presence. \nPractising Sadhana in a group can be deeply harmonising. The energy of the group helps balance and support each person — where one person may feel tired\, another may bring steadiness; where one may feel tender\, another may bring strength. Together\, the group creates a field of practice that can feel grounding\, uplifting and deeply peaceful. \nGetting up for Sadhana is a personal victory. Billie is teaching me to feel and stay present with my body rather than trying to escape. It can be challenging but I felt very held and supported all the way through. The course moves very slowly and the practices build gradually\, giving time to create a deep sense of safety and trust in the experience. It has a very gentle and nurturing feel throughout\, even with the more challenging practices. Billie is very present and attuned to us all\, she observes us while holding space for us and still gives individual guidance while being in the group. It feels like she knows what we all need. I will definitely be doing this course again and highly recommend it to anyone who has experienced any form of trauma.” KT\n\n\nFacilitator:\nBillie Atherstone is a IAYT Yoga Therapist and has been teaching trauma informed courses for PTSD for the past ten years. The practice can feel energising and focused\, while still offering space to slow down\, listen to the body and notice how you are moving. \nEach morning will follow the full arc of a Vinyasa class\, beginning with warm-up and Sun Salutations\, building into a focused flow with balance and transitions\, before gradually slowing towards rest. \nDay 1 | Warriors\nExplore the Warrior family through a grounded standing flow\, developing balance\, stability and smooth transitions between postures. \nDay 2 | Lunges\nMove through a range of lunge variations and transitions\, exploring coordination\, balance and the ease of moving from one shape into the next. \nDay 3 | Shoulders\nA flowing practice focused on creating mobility\, strength and space through the shoulders and upper body. \nDay 4 | Hips\nExplore mobility\, stability and release through the hips\, combining flowing movement with slower\, more considered exploration. \nDay 5 | Integration Flow\nBring the week together with a complete Vinyasa practice\, weaving together the movements and transitions explored throughout the intensive with breath\, balance and focused attention. \nThe intensive is open to all levels\, whether you are discovering Vinyasa for the first time or already have an established practice. Variations will be offered throughout each class\, allowing everyone to participate at their own pace and enjoy the practice. \nWith spring just around the corner\, this five-day intensive is an opportunity to move\, build energy\, deepen your practice and develop a greater feel for the relationship between movement\, breath and focus. \nKeen to immerse yourself in all of our upcoming Summer intensives? More than simply breathing exercises\, pranayama works with prana — the vital life force — through the conscious refinement of breath\, attention and energy. \nAcross five mornings\, we will combine accessible yogic philosophy with embodied practice\, developing a deeper understanding of how the breath can influence the nervous system\, steady the mind\, support yoga practice and prepare us for meditation. \nThroughout the intensive\, you will explore: \n\nBreath Awareness – Develop greater sensitivity to the natural rhythm\, movement and quality of your breath.\nPrana & the Pranamaya Kosha – Explore the yogic understanding of breath as a bridge between the physical body\, energy and mind.\nThe Five Vayus – Discover the five primary movements of prana and how they relate to different functions within the body.\nThe Nadis – Learn about the subtle channels through which prana is understood to move within the yogic system.\nNervous System Regulation – Experience how different breathing practices can support steadiness\, clarity\, alertness and relaxation.\nPreparation for Meditation – Use pranayama to gather attention\, quieten mental activity and create the conditions for deeper meditation.\n\nPractices may include Dirgha Pranayama\, Ujjayi Pranayama\, Kapalabhati\, Nadi Shodhana and Bhramari\, with techniques introduced progressively and with appropriate modifications. \nSuitable for complete beginners and experienced yoga practitioners alike\, this intensive offers an opportunity to move beyond simply “taking a deep breath” and develop a more refined\, embodied relationship with breathing. \nWhether you practise yoga regularly or are simply curious about breathwork\, you’ll leave with practical techniques you can return to in everyday life to support energy\, nervous system balance\, concentration and inner steadiness. \nYou can join all 5 sessions or come to just one. \n__________________________________________________________________________________________________ \nInvestment\n\n\nFull 5 Days (Mon–Fri): $120 Studio | $70 Online \n\n\nSingle Session: $28/$25 Studio | $16/$14 Online \n\nMembers FREE\n\nSee all pricing & payment options \nKeen to immerse yourself in all of our upcoming Spring intensives? SUMMARY:Gong Puja: Sound Journey: Echoes of the Earth
DESCRIPTION:GONG PUJA\nGong Puja Sound Journey: Echoes of the Earth\nWith \nCathy Loughrey\, Saskia Cleary\, Virginia Alexandra\, Praveen Hewage and Geoff Charles \nSaturday 17 October 2026 \n1:30pm – 5:45pm \nBOOK HERE  \nGong Puja is a profound sacred ceremony which promotes deep rest\, healing and transformation. \nEvent details for Gong Puja.\nWe are delighted to welcome you to Gong Puja\, a sacred ceremony with gongs taking place at Kundalini House. \nThis is an all afternoon event on Saturday 17 October 2026 from 1:30pm to 5:45pm. The combination of Earth Gongs will take you on a journey from the deep rumbles of Sound Creation to the heart and up to the ethers partnered with the crystalline frequency from the titanium gong.  It is a magical combination of the Sound Creation Earth Gong\, Earth and Platonic Year Gongs which we are excited to be able to bring together. \nOur Gong Puja will commence with the ceremonial conch as we call in the six directions before moving into 3 ½ hours of gong immersion where you can rest\, relax\, and meditate in the sound current. The last strike of the gong will be followed by a short period of silence. \nGong Puja is an individual experience\, and as with a Gong Sound Bath Immersion\, the experience of each person in the room maybe quite different. Trust your experience is perfect for you. \nInvestment\nFull $125 and conc/KH-members $100 \nBOOK HERE \nInformation for participants:\nYou will be asked to fill in a registration form for this event. You must ensure your hosts are aware of any medical conditions or limitations before this event.  During the Gong Puja it is possible to feel different emotions and physical sensations. It is an individual experience and the experience of each person in the room maybe quite different. Rather than focusing on achieving particular postures\, the emphasis is on helping you reconnect with your body in a way that feels safe\, supportive\, and sustainable. \nHow can acupuncture help with trauma recovery?\nAcupuncture may help support nervous system regulation\, reduce stress and anxiety\, improve sleep\, calm the body’s stress response\, and promote a greater sense of wellbeing. During the retreat\, participants receive a gentle acupuncture or ear seed treatment designed to support relaxation and integration. \nWhat should I bring?\nPlease wear comfortable clothing and bring a water bottle. Yoga mats\, bolsters\, blankets\, and all other equipment are provided. \nWhat if I need to take a break during the day?\nYou are welcome to take breaks whenever you need. We encourage participants to listen to their bodies and honour their own capacity throughout the retreat. \nWhat will I take home from the retreat?\nYou will leave with practical tools for nervous system regulation\, a personalised Polyvagal Map\, simple yoga\, qigong\, breathwork and mindfulness practices that you can use in everyday life\, a greater understanding of your stress responses\, and a deeper sense of connection to yourself. \nCan this retreat replace therapy or medical treatment?\nNo. The retreat is designed to complement\, not replace\, professional medical\, psychological\, or therapeutic care. Many participants find it works beautifully alongside counselling\, psychotherapy\, psychology\, or other health supports. \nWho facilitates the retreat?\nThe retreat is facilitated by Billie Atherstone\, Somatic Therapist\, Yoga Therapist and Trauma Recovery Program Facilitator\, together with Pip Atherstone-Reid\, Chinese Medicine Practitioner and Yoga Teacher. Together they bring over 40 years of combined experience supporting people through healing\, recovery\, and nervous system regulation. \nWhat is the size of the group?\nWe intentionally keep numbers small\, with a maximum of 10 participants\, to create a supportive\, comfortable\, and personalised experience for everyone attending.
