Can I still attend?\nAbsolutely. Many people experience symptoms associated with hypermobility long before receiving a diagnosis. This workshop is suitable for anyone curious about how hypermobility may be affecting their body\, movement\, pain\, fatigue\, or nervous system. \nWhat will I learn?\nYou will gain a deeper understanding of hypermobility\, joint instability\, chronic pain\, fatigue\, dysautonomia\, proprioception\, and nervous system regulation. You will also learn practical strategies to support stability\, pacing\, and body awareness in everyday life. \nWhat does “trauma-informed” mean?\nA trauma-informed approach recognises the impact that stress\, trauma\, chronic illness\, and medical experiences can have on the body and nervous system. The workshop prioritises choice\, safety\, consent\, and self-awareness\, allowing participants to engage at their own pace without pressure. \nWill there be movement involved?\nThere may be some gentle experiential and somatic exercises to help you connect with your body and better understand the concepts being discussed. Participation is always optional\, and exercises can be adapted to suit individual needs and comfort levels. \nIs this workshop suitable if I experience pain or fatigue?\nYes. The workshop is designed specifically with hypermobile bodies in mind. You are encouraged to take breaks\, adjust your position\, and participate in ways that support your energy levels and comfort. \nWill we be discussing dysautonomia and nervous system symptoms?\nYes. Many people with hEDS and HSD experience symptoms related to dysautonomia\, including dizziness\, fatigue\, heart palpitations\, exercise intolerance\, temperature regulation issues\, and brain fog. The workshop will explore the connection between hypermobility and the nervous system and offer practical tools for support. \nIs this a treatment session?\nNo. This workshop is educational in nature and is not intended to replace individual medical care\, osteopathic treatment\, physiotherapy\, or other healthcare support. It is designed to provide information\, understanding\, and practical strategies that participants can apply in their daily lives. \nWhat should I bring?\nPlease wear comfortable clothing and bring anything that helps you feel comfortable\, such as a water bottle\, cushion\, blanket\, notebook\, or supportive seating aid if required. \nWhat happens after this workshop?\nThis workshop serves as the foundation for a deeper multi-part series exploring hypermobility\, nervous system regulation\, movement\, embodiment\, pain\, fatigue\, and practical strategies for living well with hEDS and HSD. \nHow many people will attend?\nPlaces are limited to help create a supportive\, comfortable\, and interactive learning environment where participants have the opportunity to ask questions and feel seen and heard. \nWhat if I need to cancel?\nYour $20 deposit secures your place in the workshop and is non-refundable within 7 days of the event. If you are unable to attend\, your payment can be transferred to a future Kundalini House class or workshop. Refund requests are subject to a $20 administration fee. \nSupport Beyond The Workshop\nKundalini House offers a range of supportive services and classes to help you continue your healing journey\, including Yoga\, Pilates\, Acupuncture\, Osteopathy\, Massage\, Naturopathy\, Counselling and Meditation. \nWe also host regular workshops and events focused on nervous system regulation\, emotional wellbeing\, embodiment and holistic health in North Fitzroy Melbourne.
