Love is wholeness. Wholeness is balance. Balance is well-being. Well-being is freedom from disease.”— Dr Mikao Usui\, Reiki founder \n\n\nAbout the Experience\nBe cradled in this Reiki-enhanced sound meditation that encourages a partly conscious\, partly subconscious brainwave state of reflection. In this state\, inner communication between mind and body is unstressed by judgement or expectation\, allowing innate healing to be restored. \nWhen we are stressed\, challenged\, or moving through change\, we can lose connection to our inner wisdom\, self-compassion\, and presence as we move towards resolution. Mindful practices such as Reiki help us to maintain and indeed embody our intention. In this session\, we will flow through the mindfulness of breath\, a brief intuitive meditation focused on heart space for self-acceptance\, and into sound and the deep restorative rest of Reiki. \nThe group setting allows for the usual personal Reiki healing to occur within an enhanced and expanded energy field of a sacred group healing frequency. \nThis Session May Support You To\n\n\nexperience Reiki if you’re new to it \n\n\nreconnect with or deepen an existing practice \n\n\ngive yourself permission to rest and recover instead of doing more \n\n\ncontribute to our collective and community healing \n\n\nArrival & Timing\nThe start time is 2:00 pm; however\, we ask that you arrive at 1:45 pm to settle into the space\, as doors will be closed from 2:00 pm. \nTea will be provided. \nWhat to Bring\nPlease bring your own meditation comforts such as a mat\, blankets\, pillow\, eye pillow\, or a favourite object such as a crystal. Grounded in Deep Ecology and inspired by her own healing journey\, her work gently guides others to reconnect with their true nature\, inner wisdom\, and place within the living world. \nMelissa Weaver is a holistic Kinesiology and Reiki practitioner blending Western anatomy with Eastern energetic wisdom to support mind-body balance\, deep relaxation\, and innate healing. Passionate about compassionate self-care and community wellbeing\, she guides clients of all ages through physical\, emotional\, and spiritual challenges\, helping them reconnect with their intuition\, heart-space\, and natural rhythm. \nWhat You May Experience & Safety Considerations\nReiki can be performed with hands off or on the body\, depending on personal preference. Coloured Post-it notes will denote consent for touch or no touch. \nNo sound instruments will be placed on the body during the session. However\, it may be helpful to advise us beforehand if you are pregnant\, have a pacemaker or other metal implants\, are managing serious medical conditions\, have epilepsy\, or have a current physical injury. \nPlease note: when we move energy\, we also move blood flow\, lymphatic fluid\, and emotions. As a result\, some physiological responses may occur during Reiki. Common responses include tears\, tummy rumbles\, temperature changes\, and sometimes light sensations in the body such as a buzzing awareness or a sense of flow or movement in particular areas. \nThese responses generally relate to a release of tension from the nervous system—which is good news.
