Unraveling the Knot and Origins & Identity
Two In-Person Professional Trainings at Kundalini House, Melbourne
12–18 April 2027
Kundalini House, North Fitzroy, Melbourne
In April 2027, Kundalini House welcomes the Guru Ram Das Center for Medicine & Humanology for two deeply experiential professional trainings exploring the meeting place between modern health science, yogic wisdom and the therapeutic application of Kundalini Yoga.
These courses are open to yoga teachers and yoga therapists from all traditions, with no prerequisite required. They may be completed individually or together as an immersive seven-day training experience.
Designed for those working in yoga, healthcare, therapy and the service professions, these trainings support you to deepen your understanding of health and consciousness while cultivating the steadiness, discernment and embodied presence needed to remain compassionate in the presence of both suffering and human potential.
Training One
Unraveling the Knot of Stress, Inflammation, Pain and Sleep
Monday 12 – Wednesday 14 April 2027
In person at Kundalini House, Melbourne
Stress, inflammation, pain and disrupted sleep are deeply interconnected. When one becomes persistent, it can affect the others, creating a complex cycle that influences physical health, emotional wellbeing and quality of life.
This three-day Kundalini Yoga Therapy training brings modern science into conversation with ancient yogic tradition. You will explore how specific yoga practices, meditation and yogic lifestyle approaches may help address the physiological patterns connecting stress, inflammation, pain and sleep.
Rather than approaching these experiences as isolated symptoms, the course invites you to understand their interrelationship and consider how therapeutic yoga can support greater regulation, resilience, vitality and ease.
In this course, you will:
- Explore the relationship between stress, inflammation, pain and sleep.
- Learn how modern physiology and ancient yogic perspectives understand these interconnected processes.
- Experience Kundalini Yoga practices and yogic lifestyle approaches that support health and vitality.
- Deepen your capacity to work safely and skilfully with students and clients experiencing complex health concerns.
- Develop practical tools that may be integrated into yoga teaching, yoga therapy and complementary healthcare settings.
Although the course includes methods from Kundalini Yoga, the material is relevant and accessible to yoga teachers and yoga therapists from all traditions.

Training Two
Origins and Identity: An Exploration of Your Authentic Self
Thursday 15 – Sunday 18 April 2027
In person at Kundalini House, Melbourne
Origins and Identity is a deeply experiential journey into the subtle anatomy of consciousness.
Through Kundalini Yoga, meditation, interoceptive awareness, relaxation, yogic philosophy and shared inquiry, you will explore the forces that shape identity, perception, health and your relationship with yourself.
The intention is not only to understand these teachings intellectually, but to embody them—to establish endurance, subtlety, stillness and radiant presence.
This training supports you to recognise the influence of thought, belief, karma and deeply held patterns, while strengthening your capacity to remain centred, compassionate and available to both the suffering and the potential within yourself and others.
It is particularly valuable for yoga teachers, yoga therapists, healthcare practitioners and people working in therapeutic, educational, community or service-based professions.
In this course, you will:
- Explore the meaning and influence of the 36 tattwas, three gunas and 10 Bodies.
- Understand the interconnection of subtle energy, consciousness, physical health and mental wellbeing.
- Examine the influence of karmas and samskaras.
- Explore how thought and belief may affect health and recovery.
- Investigate inner conflict as both a potential source of illness and a pathway towards integration.
- Engage with teachings from the Bhagavad Gita, Patañjali’s Yoga Sutras and the Five Sutras of the Aquarian Age.
- Deepen your relationship with the Radiant, Subtle and Pranic Bodies.
- Cultivate the steadiness and neutrality needed to remain present with complexity and suffering.
- Strengthen your connection with an authentic, embodied sense of self.
Course schedule
Thursday 15 – Sunday 18 April: 9:00am–6:00pm daily
