Event Description
in Moving Meditation: A Tai Chi Journey | 5 Day Tai Chi Intensive with Simon Murray days, participants will learn the first section of the Yang style of Tai Chi. This 18-movement sequence embodies all the core principles of Tai Chi, and at the end of the Intensive, regular attendees will have a solid grasp of Tai Chi fundamentals and be able to practice by themselves (this may also lead into future training opportunities to learn the extended version of the practice).
Tai Chi improves leg and core strength, balance, circulation, and coordination. It also helps us regulate the mind and emotions, as a kind of moving meditation. With regular practice, it can become an integral part of a wellness routine, supporting and improving outcomes in other areas, such as productivity, fitness, mindfulness, immunity, and vitality.
Taking place at the tranquil Kundalini House yoga studio, sessions will run at 7:45am on Monday 13th, Tuesday 14th, Wednesday 15th, Thursday 16th, and Friday 17th of April. While there is a curriculum of sorts to follow, all abilities and levels of experience will be catered for. The class will be recorded and available to participants.
