90 minutes of clarity, embodiment, and practical tools for living with hypermobility.
This introductory workshop is designed for people with hypermobility, Hypermobile Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (hEDS), or Hypermobility Spectrum Disorder (HSD) who want to understand their bodies more deeply and feel more empowered in their care. Whether you’re newly exploring hypermobility or already diagnosed, this session offers a gentle, trauma-informed foundation for the full workshop series that follows.
You will learn about joint instability, pain, fatigue, dysautonomia, proprioception, and the nervous system — all through a somatic, non-pathologising lens. Discover why hypermobile bodies behave the way they do, how to support your nervous system, and how to build stability without overwhelm.
You will leave with:
- A clearer understanding of your symptoms
- Practical tools for pacing, stability, and nervous‑system regulation
- A felt sense of validation, connection, and safety
- A strong foundation for the deeper workshops to come

Frequently Asked Questions
Who is this workshop for?
This workshop is designed for adults with Hypermobile Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (hEDS), Hypermobility Spectrum Disorder (HSD), generalised hypermobility, or those who suspect they may be hypermobile and would like to understand their body more deeply.
I don’t have a formal diagnosis. Can I still attend?
Absolutely. Many people experience symptoms associated with hypermobility long before receiving a diagnosis. This workshop is suitable for anyone curious about how hypermobility may be affecting their body, movement, pain, fatigue, or nervous system.
What will I learn?
You will gain a deeper understanding of hypermobility, joint instability, chronic pain, fatigue, dysautonomia, proprioception, and nervous system regulation. You will also learn practical strategies to support stability, pacing, and body awareness in everyday life.
What does “trauma-informed” mean?
A trauma-informed approach recognises the impact that stress, trauma, chronic illness, and medical experiences can have on the body and nervous system. The workshop prioritises choice, safety, consent, and self-awareness, allowing participants to engage at their own pace without pressure.
Will there be movement involved?
There may be some gentle experiential and somatic exercises to help you connect with your body and better understand the concepts being discussed. Participation is always optional, and exercises can be adapted to suit individual needs and comfort levels.
Is this workshop suitable if I experience pain or fatigue?
Yes. The workshop is designed specifically with hypermobile bodies in mind. You are encouraged to take breaks, adjust your position, and participate in ways that support your energy levels and comfort.
Will we be discussing dysautonomia and nervous system symptoms?
Yes. Many people with hEDS and HSD experience symptoms related to dysautonomia, including dizziness, fatigue, heart palpitations, exercise intolerance, temperature regulation issues, and brain fog. The workshop will explore the connection between hypermobility and the nervous system and offer practical tools for support.
Is this a treatment session?
No. This workshop is educational in nature and is not intended to replace individual medical care, osteopathic treatment, physiotherapy, or other healthcare support. It is designed to provide information, understanding, and practical strategies that participants can apply in their daily lives.
What should I bring?
Please wear comfortable clothing and bring anything that helps you feel comfortable, such as a water bottle, cushion, blanket, notebook, or supportive seating aid if required.
What happens after this workshop?
This workshop serves as the foundation for a deeper multi-part series exploring hypermobility, nervous system regulation, movement, embodiment, pain, fatigue, and practical strategies for living well with hEDS and HSD.
How many people will attend?
Places are limited to help create a supportive, comfortable, and interactive learning environment where participants have the opportunity to ask questions and feel seen and heard.
What if I need to cancel?
Your $20 deposit secures your place in the workshop and is non-refundable within 7 days of the event. If you are unable to attend, your payment can be transferred to a future Kundalini House class or workshop. Refund requests are subject to a $20 administration fee.
