About Mona

Diploma of Remedial Massage
Bachelor of Social Science and Psychology

Mona’s approach to Remedial Massage combines clinical knowledge with compassionate, person-centred care. Growing up in a family of manual therapists inspired a lifelong interest in the body, movement and wellbeing, leading her to pursue studies in Remedial Massage, yoga, qigong and Chinese medicine.

Complemented by a Bachelor of Social Science and Psychology, Mona’s understanding of health extends beyond the physical. Her background informs a holistic approach that recognises the interconnected physical, emotional, psychological and social factors that can influence pain, physical recovery and wellbeing.

With over seven years of experience, Mona has worked as a Remedial Massage Therapist in private practice, multidisciplinary clinics and women’s wellness settings. Through this work, she has developed particular interests in women’s health, pregnancy and postnatal care, chronic pain and stress-related conditions.

Mona enjoys supporting people experiencing chronic pain, headaches and migraine-related muscular tension, TMJ dysfunction and jaw pain, postural discomfort, shoulder and back pain, sports injuries, pregnancy and postnatal changes, and general muscular tension and stiffness.

Drawing on techniques including Remedial Massage, Relaxation Massage, myofascial release, trigger point therapy, deep tissue massage, joint mobilisation, muscle energy techniques, acupressure and intraoral jaw massage, Mona tailors every treatment to the individual. She may also incorporate breathwork and guided relaxation to support relaxation and nervous system regulation.

Client education is also an important part of Mona’s approach. Where appropriate, she offers practical self-management strategies to help people better understand their bodies and support their wellbeing beyond the treatment room.

Through her treatments, Mona aims to help reduce pain and tension, improve mobility, support nervous system regulation and help people reconnect with their wellbeing.
