About Miranda
HSc Osteo, BAppSc Osteo
Senior Osteopath Miranda Phaedonos, providing holistic, evidence-informed care to help people move with greater ease, recover from pain and build long-term resilience. She combines hands-on Osteopathy with movement, breathwork and education to create personalised treatment plans that support both immediate relief and lasting wellbeing.
Miranda has a particular interest in supporting people living with hypermobility, including Hypermobile Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (hEDS) and Hypermobility Spectrum Disorder (HSD). Drawing on both clinical expertise and a trauma-informed approach, she understands the complex relationship between hypermobility, chronic pain, nervous system regulation and everyday function. Her goal is to help people better understand their bodies, improve function and regain confidence in movement.
Alongside her work with hypermobility, Miranda supports people experiencing chronic pain, back and neck pain, sports injuries, pregnancy-related musculoskeletal concerns, postnatal recovery, women’s health and stress-related musculoskeletal conditions. She also enjoys working with children and adolescents, helping them move well through every stage of life.
Miranda’s passion for Osteopathy began after experiencing a significant back injury as a teenager. Living with persistent pain until she found an Osteopath gave her first-hand experience of how holistic, hands-on care can transform not only symptoms but a person’s relationship with their body. This experience inspired her to pursue a career dedicated to helping others recover, move well and feel empowered in their health.
After completing a double degree in Health Science and Applied Science (Osteopathy) at RMIT University in 2017, Miranda continued to expand her clinical skills through further training in yoga teaching, myofascial dry needling, cupping therapy and Osteopathic care throughout pregnancy and the postnatal period. Passionate about integrating movement into rehabilitation, she also travelled to Japan to deepen her study of yoga, bringing mindful movement and breath awareness into her clinical practice.
Every consultation begins with a thorough assessment to understand the underlying contributors to your symptoms. Miranda combines hands-on Osteopathy, myofascial dry needling, cupping, gentle manual techniques, movement rehabilitation and practical education to create an individualised treatment plan that supports long-term recovery rather than simply treating symptoms.
Miranda believes the body functions best when treatment is collaborative. She works alongside her patients to improve movement, reduce pain and build the knowledge and confidence needed to support their health well beyond the treatment room.
Outside the clinic, Miranda enjoys practising and teaching yoga and mindfulness meditation, travelling, cycling, hiking and continuing to develop her practice through ongoing research and professional education.
