About Mona

Diploma of Remedial Massage
Bachelor of Social Science and Psychology

Mona’s approach to Remedial Massage combines clinical knowledge with compassionate, person-centred care. Growing up with parents who practiced osteopathy, traditional chinese medicine and remedial massage inspired a lifelong interest in the body, movement and wellbeing.

A love of yoga developed in her teens, leading her to pursue yoga teacher training while travelling in her 20’s in Costa Rica, after which she spent two years on a small farm in Costa Rica with Chinese medical practitioners learning Chinese medical principles, qigong, meditation and taiji. The impact on her wellbeing from her learnings inspired her to pursue a Diploma of Remedial massage upon her return to Australia, which she has since complemented with a  Bachelor of Social Science and Psychology.

Informed by her studies and life experience, Mona’s understanding of health extends beyond the physical. She practices a holistic approach that recognises the interconnected physical, emotional, psychological and sociocultural factors that can influence pain, physical recovery and wellbeing.

With over seven years of experience as a Remedial Massage Therapist Mona has worked in private practice, multidisciplinary clinics and women’s wellness settings. Through this work, she has developed a style that integrates clinical assessment with an intuitive approach. Clients often comment on how personalised each treatment feels, with every session thoughtfully adapted to their needs on the day.

Mona has a particular interest in women’s health, pregnancy and postnatal care, chronic pain, and mental health, and supports clients through a range of musculoskeletal concerns. She has experience treating headaches and migraine related tension, TMJ and jaw pain, postural discomfort, shoulder and back pain, sports injuries, endometriosis, hormonal changes, muscular tension and stiffness.

Drawing on techniques including myofascial release, trigger point therapy, deep tissue massage, joint mobilisation, muscle energy techniques, acupressure and intraoral jaw massage. Where appropriate, she incorporates breathwork and guided relaxation into her treatments, recognising the connection between the breath, mind and physical tension.

Client education and self management are also an important part of Mona’s approach. She believes this works best when it feels realistic and fits into a person’s unique routines and rhythms. She takes the time to understand her clients’ needs, lifestyle and goals and, when helpful, works with them to gradually integrate strategies or exercises that feel genuinely manageable and achievable.

Through her treatments, Mona aims to help reduce pain and tension, improve mobility, support nervous system regulation and help people reconnect with their wellbeing. She shares her knowledge and experience while respecting each client as the expert in their own experience, working collaboratively to find what feels right for them.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

“Selfishly don’t really want to share how fabulous Mona in case she’ll be forever booked out, but definitely book with her! I have left every appointment feeling a million times better, more relaxed and calm. Particularly postpartum, Mona undoes all my little mum niggles and is just overall wonderful practitioner who listens and tailors each treatment to whatever you need!”
