About Jane

Dip. Clinical Hypnosis

Jane Johnston is a Clinical Hypnotherapist with more than a decade of experience helping people create meaningful and lasting change. Her approach combines clinical hypnotherapy with a deep understanding of relaxation, meditation and the mind-body connection, supporting people to overcome anxiety, stress, unwanted habits and limiting beliefs.

Before becoming a hypnotherapist, Jane taught Hatha Yoga, Kundalini Yoga and meditation for many years. While completing her yoga teacher training, she wrote her thesis on the science behind meditation and has since explored a wide range of contemplative practices, including Buddhist meditation, Transcendental Meditation, Guided Meditation, Kundalini Meditation, mindfulness, Yoga Nidra and guided breathwork.

Inspired by the profound benefits of deep relaxation and stress management, Jane went on to complete her Diploma of Clinical Hypnotherapy. She practises in accordance with the guiding principles of the Australian Clinical Hypnotherapy Association and has undertaken further training with respected Australian hypnotherapists Maggie Wilde and Dr Rick Collingwood.

Jane also trained in the Mongan Method of HypnoBirthing®, supporting expectant parents to prepare for birth through breathing, deep relaxation, visualisation and practical techniques that help build confidence and reduce fear. She has guided many couples through pregnancy and birth with a calm and empowering approach.

Throughout her career, Jane has worked with individuals from all walks of life, as well as corporate organisations including Ligeti Partners Lawyers, Sparke Helmore, the ACCC and NAB. She has supported people experiencing anxiety, stress, depression, fears and phobias, smoking cessation, weight management and other behaviour patterns they wish to change.

Jane believes that our thoughts, emotions and behaviours are deeply interconnected. Through the focused, deeply relaxed state created during clinical hypnotherapy, people can access unhelpful patterns held in the subconscious mind, develop healthier responses and create positive, lasting change. Her warm, compassionate and encouraging approach helps clients feel safe, empowered and supported throughout their journey.
