An integrative course combining yoga, psychotherapy, and nervous system education to support a more balanced and compassionate relationship with anxiety, and a deeper connection to your essential nature.

 

ABOUT THE COURSE

Anxiety is often experienced as overwhelming, confusing, and deeply personal.

This course offers a grounded and supportive approach to understanding and working with anxiety.

 

Rather than trying to eliminate anxiety, we learn to:

– understand what is happening in the body and mind

– recognise patterns of thought and emotional response

– respond in a more steady and supportive way

Drawing from both Western psychology and yogic wisdom, this course works across the different layers of our experience — body, breath, mind, and awareness.

Through a combination of:

– gentle movement and somatic practices

– breathwork and nervous system regulation

– psychoeducation and reflective inquiry

– guided awareness and meditation

you will begin to develop a more integrated and steady relationship with anxiety.

Week 1 — Understanding Anxiety

Week 2 — The Nervous System & the Five Koshas

Week 3 — States: Window of Tolerance & Gunas

Week 4 — Emotions, Feelings & Patterns

Week 5 — Patterns of Perception (Kleshas & Reframe)

Week 6 — Repairing the Nervous System

Week 7 — The Witness

Week 8 — Integration

WHO THIS COURSE IS FOR

This course is for you if you:

– experience anxiety, overwhelm, or chronic stress

– feel caught in cycles of worry or overthinking

– want practical tools to support your nervous system

– are interested in yoga beyond the physical practice

– are open to both psychological and embodied approaches

 

No prior experience with yoga or meditation is required.

Avril Bastiansz is a yoga and Vedic meditation teacher, counsellor, psychotherapist, and clinical nutritionist with over 10 years of experience. Her work bridges psychology and yoga philosophy.
