Radical Self Care is a transformative six-week group therapy course grounded in Somatic Dance Movement Therapy (SDMT), nervous system awareness and embodied healing practices.
In a world that often pulls us away from the body, this course offers an opportunity to reconnect with yourself through movement, breath, emotional awareness and expressive freedom.
Blending somatic therapy principles, trauma-informed care and movement-based exploration, this course supports emotional regulation, self-awareness, resilience and deeper mind-body connection.
Through guided somatic practices and experiential learning, participants will develop practical tools to support stress management, self-compassion, healthy boundaries and ongoing wellbeing.
This course moves beyond traditional talk therapy, recognising the body as an important pathway for healing, self-understanding and nervous system regulation.
What to Expect
Week 1: Root & Release – Grounding in the Present
Begin by gently arriving in your body, cultivating breath awareness, and discovering subtle ways to release accumulated tension. This session focuses on establishing a foundation of safety and presence, helping you feel anchored and at ease within yourself.
Week 2: Flow & Form – Cultivating Embodied Expressiveness
Building on your groundedness, this session invites fluid movement and personal expression. Explore your unique inner impulses, allowing your body to move authentically and freely, fostering a deeper connection to your creative and expressive self.
Week 3: Awakening Your Embodied Foundation
Through guided movement, discover how to embody your core personal values, learning to align your actions with what truly nourishes your being.
Week 4: Moving Towards Self-Compassion & Resilience
Explore the physical dynamics of your inner critic versus a kinder, more nurturing self. This session supports emotional regulation and a deeper sense of acceptance.
Week 5: Connection & Resilience – Moving with Support
Experience the inherent resilience of your being through gentle exploration of support and belonging. Strengthen your capacity for adaptability and sustained wellbeing.
Week 6: Embodying Sustainable Wellbeing & Clear Boundaries
Learn to physically assert your needs, set clear boundaries, and protect your energy. This culminates in creating a personalised, embodied blueprint for ongoing wellbeing.

Jess Osborne
Jess Osborne (they/she) offers an integrative, body-based approach to healing that supports emotional regulation, embodied expression, and a deepened sense of connection to self and others. With a professional background in Creative Arts practices dating back to 1986, Jess has been offering adaptive bodywork sessions since 2019, working primarily within the realms of mental health and neurodiversity. In 2024, Jess began postgraduate studies in Somatic Dance Movement Therapy and is currently completing their clinical hours as a registered student member with the Dance Movement Therapy Association of Australasia (DTAA). Their evolving therapeutic approach draws from a rich tapestry of modalities including dance movement therapy (DMT), Hanna Somatics, polyvagal theory, adaptive bodywork, bioenergetics, art and sound therapy, spiritual guidance, and holistic health mentorship. Jess’s work is grounded in humanistic, trauma-informed values, honouring the wisdom of each individual’s body and story. As a genderfluid, queer person and a long-time practitioner of polyamory and relationship anarchy, Jess is passionate about creating spaces that are safe, inclusive, and affirming of all identities, bodies, and relationship structures. Do I need dance experience?
No prior dance or movement experience is necessary. This course is designed to be accessible, gentle and supportive for all bodies and experience levels.
Is this course trauma-informed?
Yes. The course is grounded in trauma-informed principles that prioritise safety, choice, nervous system awareness and respectful support for each participant’s individual experience.
Can this course help with stress and burnout?

You’re welcome to receive a full credit to use toward any other service or product at Kundalini House, or request a refund back to your bank account.
Please note: Refunds to your bank account will incur a small administration fee of 5% plus $5. -
Between 72 and 24 hours before the course starts:
You may request a 50% refund or credit. The remaining portion helps cover the teacher’s preparation time and our administrative and marketing costs. -
Less than 24 hours before the course starts or if you don’t attend:
We’re unable to offer a refund or credit unless there are exceptional circumstances (at our discretion). At this stage, the teacher and studio have committed resources and time based on your booking.
