Maintaining Vitality in Autumn: An Āyurveda & Yoga Workshop
Saturday 9th March with Namo Dev
As summer comes to an end, we begin to notice changes within the environment around us. The mornings and evenings are getting darker and cooler, the last of the fruit is falling off the trees and there is less humidity in the air. Within ourselves we also notice a natural inclination towards more introverted activities, warmer foods and the transition from bare feet and sandals to socks and shoes as we welcome in autumn.
Autumn is a season of change and depletion. As the winds pick up and the weather gets colder and drier, our immunity and vitality drops. If we do not adhere to seasonal routine practices we are more likely to succumb to illnesses during the winter. An Āyurvedic lifestyle allows you to transition smoothly.
During this workshop, you will learn how to develop a daily routine specific for the autumnal season using the wisdom of Āyurveda and Yoga. This routine comprising of daily practices and nutritional guidelines will ensure that you build resilience and immunity throughout autumn, have deep restful sleep to replenish and restore, soothe your nervous system during this changeable time and best utilise the natural creativity that this season encourages.
