The recent Mars-Uranus conjunction coincided closely with the attempted assassination of Donald Trump. Meanwhile the subsequent Capricorn Full Moon at 30 degrees and very close to Pluto in early Aquarius was symbolised as: A Secret Meeting of Men Responsible for Executive Decisions in World Affairs. Synchronously  this was the day that Biden exited the upcoming US election race making way for the younger Kamala Harris who clearly better aligns with the future Pluto in Aquarius zeitgeist.

Pluto, Saturn and Neptune are all still doing the retrograde backwards shuffle with Pluto dipping back briefly into Capricorn in late August and then returning to full forward momentum back in Aquarius for the next twenty years, shortly after the US election. A change in Pluto’s sign marks a major shift in the focus of power within society and the area of life up for major transformation and this one is associated with much needed humanitarian and collective values.  When Pluto dips back briefly into Capricorn it will be completing the USA’s first Pluto return using the American Independence birth chart  Pluto in Aquarius can be expected to focus the zeitgeist on community, equality, feminism and liberation after the current focus on plutocracy and traditional patriarchy. It could lead to a rethinking of how authority, government, and societal systems work and an increased focus on global cooperation based on justice and mutual understanding.

The Leo New Moon occurs at 9:13 pm on the 4th of August at 13 degrees and is symbolised as:  An Old Sea Captain Rocking Himself on the Porch of His Cottage. This image speaks to the quieted mind’s recollections of crises and joy long past, peace at last and quiet recollection. At the Leo New Moon there’s a focus on pride and confidence in oneself leading to emotional security. Mars and Jupiter are both forming productive sextiles with the Moon and Sun at this new Moon, while the North Node brings in a karmic element as it forms a harmonious trine to the luminaries.  This is an energetic new Moon, with an emphasis on self-created opportunity.

Venus moves into modest and helpful Virgo on the 6th of August. Meanwhile Mercury will go retrograde from Virgo on the same day, dipping back into Leo on the 16th of August where it will be residing when it finishes its retrograde journey on the 29th of August.  This may provide a welcome opportunity for renewal and reflection.

The Full Moon occurs at 4:25 am on the 20th of August at 28 degrees of Aquarius, symbolised as: A Tree Felled and Sawed to Ensure a Supply of Wood for the Winter. It refers to intelligent foresight in a life in which every act can be part of a harmonic and beautiful ritual permeated with deep significance. Full Moons are a time to decide what, and how much of something, needs to be purged from our lives. With the Moon in Aquarius security is associated with being able to exercise complete freedom of ideas, self expression and innovation.. Increasing the power of the Aquarian Full Moon the Aquarius ruler, Uranus will be forming a close T-square with both the Moon and Sun.  bringing a strong tinge of originality and unpredictability into play at this time. The Sun a mere degree away from retrograde Mercury, suggesting an instinctive intelligence with a creative flair.

The Sun moves into Virgo on the 23rd of August where it radiates intelligence and clean-edged vitality and one is motivated by a need to be helpful and of service in a tangible way.  Venus moves into its own sign of Libra on the 30th of August bringing balance and fairness into our give and take with others.
