With Neptune having moved out of Pisces into Aries for the first time in 164 years, on the 30th of March, where it will remain until 2039, we are being given an evolutionary lesson to use our skills and strength with humility. We can expect exploration, innovation and boundary pushing, in this time of tensions and societal shifts. Mercury stations to turn direct on the 8th of April potentially leading to improvements in communication, travel and technology, as well as leaving us with a clearer mindset.  Then Venus stations to turn direct on the 14th of April bringing a shift from introspection and reassessment to a period of deepening attachments, where we are moving forward with clarity in areas of love, relationships, beauty and finances.

The Libran Full Moon opposes the Aries Sun at 10:22 am on the 13th of April. Full Moons are a time to decide what, and how much of something, needs to be purged from our lives. Extraneous responsibilities and unrealistic fantasies will tend to be expunged in order to allow fresh growth. The Full Moon is at 24 degrees, symbolised as: A Butterfly with a Third Wing on its Left Side. It describes the ability to develop, for inner strengthening, new modes of response to basic life situations. The Libran Full Moon is a time when one tends to react to the environment and all experiences, with objectivity and a strongly developed sense of fairness. The Sun and Chiron in Aries are sharing energies at this Full Moon reminding us that we don’t need anything outside of ourselves and allowing healing energy to flow. The annual conjunction of Chiron with the Sun  offers us a new start and holds the promise that we can move forward even with some degree of trauma. Chiron teaches us that the wounds of suffering can help make us who we are and give rise to greater compassion and wisdom.

Mercury reenters Aries on the 16th of April where a restless urge for action underlies an energetic way of speaking and creative use of skills. Then on the 18th of April Mars goes into Leo  where we are encouraged to stand in our power and assert our self dramatically, warmly and radiantly and hopefully not arrogantly. With Mars and Neptune both moving into fire signs, we will get a preview of a new kind of motivation – one that’s more visionary, more instinctual, and maybe a little unpredictable. The Sun enters Taurus on the 20th of April where vitality is rooted in earthy, physical sensations and there is a need to be recognised for one’s reliability and ability to produce.

The Taurus New Moon occurs at 5:30 am on the 28th of April at 8 degrees. This degree is symbolised as:  A Sleigh on Land Uncovered by Snow. It speaks to the value of anticipating and preparing for expectable conditions. We should realise the value of future-oriented imagination while also relying on the natural unfoldment of all life processes. With the Sun and Moon in Taurus it is a time when one feels secure in unchanging, predictable situations and comfortable with, and more aware of, all sensual stimulation. If transformation or change has been brewing in our lives, we may feel more settled now or be able to see the new road ahead. There is some intensity that flows around this New Moon coming from squares to both Mars and Pluto, that could bring some  unsettling energies and perhaps some global unrest.
