The Alchemy of Transition: Embracing Change with Grace and Resilience

We are living through a time of profound transformation. Whether you’re experiencing significant life shifts or sensing subtle changes on the horizon, it’s clear that we are collectively navigating a period of transition. These moments can feel unsettling, yet they also offer immense potential for growth and renewal. How can we stay grounded and open-hearted amidst the uncertainty?

Let’s explore the cosmic influences at play and discover the practices that can help us find stability and peace during these transformative times.

Hint: you’ll find the steadiness you seek within.

Astrological Shifts: Navigating the Cosmic Energy

Astrologically, we’ve just emerged from eclipse season—a powerful portal that often redirects us toward our highest paths.

And with Neptune now dipping into Aries for the first time in over 150 years, we’re beginning a whole new chapter. This marks the second of three outer planet shifts over these two years: Pluto finished its move into Aquarius at the end of last year, Neptune is dipping its toe into Aries now and Uranus will change signs into Gemini in the middle of this year. These slow, sweeping transits don’t just bring change—they initiate new eras. And we’re feeling the effects already.

Whichever way you look at it, this is a year of profound change. There’s simply no getting away from it!

Numerology: The Significance of a 9 Year

In numerology, the year 2025 is considered a Universal 9 Year (2+0+2+5=9). The number 9 symbolizes completion, endings and the culmination of cycles. It’s a time for reflection, releasing what no longer serves us and preparing for new beginnings. As numerologist Christine DeLorey explains, ‘The 9 Year brings you to the end of a complete nine-year cycle of your life. It is a year to complete unfinished business, reach conclusions and tie up loose ends.’ CREATIVE NUMEROLOGY

Embracing the energy of a 9 Year encourages us to let go of outdated patterns and make space for fresh opportunities. It’s a period to honour our growth, acknowledge our experiences and consciously release attachments that hinder our progress.

The Year of the Wood Snake: Wisdom and Transformation

According to the Chinese zodiac, 2025 is the Year of the Snake, specifically the Wood Snake. In Chinese culture, the Snake symbolizes wisdom, intuition and transformation. Individuals born under this sign are often considered intelligent, analytical and adept at navigating complex situations.  Symbolism of the Wood Snake

The Wood element associated with this year’s Snake brings qualities of growth, flexibility and creativity. Wood Snakes are known for their resilience and ability to adapt, making them well-equipped to handle change and pursue personal development. The What the Year of the Snake Holds

Embracing the Liminal Space: Finding Peace in the Unknown

Transition periods often place us in a liminal space—a threshold between the old and the new. This in-between phase can be uncomfortable, as it challenges our desire for certainty and control. However, it’s within this space that profound growth occurs.

Our minds may seek to grasp onto the familiar or attempt to predict the future but true peace comes from surrendering to the present moment. By cultivating trust in the unfolding process and allowing life to move through us without resistance, we open ourselves to unexpected possibilities and deeper self-discovery.

Practices for Stability: Anchoring Through Breath and Movement

In times of change, grounding practices become essential anchors. Breathwork and movement, particularly through yoga, help us process emotions, release tension and connect with our inner stability.

In my current intensive at Kundalini House, we’re working with Kirtan Kriya, a beautiful practice that aligns us with the cycles of birth, life, death and rebirth. Chanting the sacred syllables Sa Ta Na Ma helps us sync with the bigger rhythms of nature, the cosmos and our own evolution. It’s a powerful way to release what no longer serves and open to what’s meant for us.

Practicing Kirtan Kriya or another mediative practice of your choice only supports well-being during transitions and builds a resilient foundation that sustains us through life’s ebbs and flows.

Building a Consistent Practice: Your Anchor in Turbulent Times

Consistency in practice is key to navigating periods of upheaval. Establishing a daily routine of breathwork, movement or meditation creates a sense of normalcy and provides a reliable touchstone amidst external changes.

By committing to regular practice, especially during stable times, we cultivate inner strength and resilience that become invaluable when faced with challenges. This steady foundation allows us to remain centered and responsive rather than reactive, enabling us to move through life’s transitions with greater ease.

From my own experience, committing to a regular Kundalini Yoga practice—something that’s woven into my daily rhythm, 365 days a year—has been one of the most transformative choices I’ve ever made. It’s helped me stop distracting or numbing myself and instead channel that energy into creating a life I’m genuinely excited to wake up to. This practice has held me steady through quitting alcohol, travelling solo, launching my own business, reshaping the way I work, letting go of people-pleasing and learning to set boundaries. And it’s here, supporting me, as I continue to grow and evolve.

I’m not sure we’re ever fully healed. There’s no final destination with this kind of work—just a steady, daily practice of becoming the most authentic, real version of ourselves while we appreciate the magic of life with each breath, every single day.

Seeking Support: Community and Connection

Remember, you don’t have to navigate change alone. Seeking support through classes, one-on-one sessions or community groups can provide encouragement and shared wisdom. Engaging with others who are also on a path of growth fosters a sense of belonging and reminds us that transformation is a collective journey.

There are many classes and special events to support you through times of transition at Kundalini House.

I’m also available to work with you directly.

  • An Astrology Reading can help you move forward with renewed trust confidence and purpose, knowing where to direct your energy for the more ease and joy.
  • Kundalini Yoga can help you release any blocks keeping you in the old, and connect to your inner peace that’s always available waiting for you, just waiting for you to tune in.

Embracing Change as a Path to Growth

Change is an inherent part of life and our ability to embrace it determines our capacity for growth and fulfillment. By understanding the cosmic influences at play, engaging in grounding practices and seeking supportive connections, we can navigate transitions with grace and resilience.

As we move through this period of transformation, let’s remember that each ending paves the way for a new beginning.
