Mercury, commences it’s station to turn retrograde on the 10th of November in Sagittarius, moving back into Scorpio on the 19th of November and stationing to turn direct on the 30th of November. While Mercury retrograde in Sagittarius is a time of re-evaluating beliefs, philosophies, and long-term goals, especially concerning travel, education, and justice, in Scorpio we are drawn to deep, strategic, and sometimes secretive thinking, potentially causing confusion around power, secrets and money. Jupiter also turns retrograde in Cancer on the 12th of November, encouraging a period of introspection and reevaluation related to our emotional life, home and family.
The New Moon, occurs at 5:47 pm on the 20st of November at 29 degrees of Scorpio. This degree is symbolised as: An Indian Squaw Pleading to her Chief for the Lives of her Children. It reminds us that love is a principle of redemption and of the value of prayer. With the Sun and Moon in the sign of Scorpio we are encouraged to delve deep, ideally bringing something to light from our shadow side, with the intention of clearing the way forward. With the Moon in Scorpio we tend to feel nurtured when giving and/or receiving emotionally intense energy. With Venus and Mercury both in Scorpio, Jupiter in Cancer and Saturn and Neptune in Pisces this is an incredibly watery and hence emotional New Moon. Uranus opposes the luminaries and forms an exact sextile with Neptune combining the Uranian desire for forward-thinking with Neptune’s spiritual, and idealistic vision and leading to imaginative solutions and hopeful outcomes.
Saturn turns direct on the 29th of November in the final degree of Pisces, which recognises the power of clearly visualised ideals to mould the life of the visualiser. The seed of a new beginning exists in potency within the end of the cycle and Saturn will reenter Aries in January 2026.
The Sun moves into Sagittarius on the 22nd of November where creative energy is directed toward one’s ideals and aspirations, not only expressing them but often promoting them to others. .
