November 2026 Astrology Forecast
Always Darkest Before the Dawn: Scorpio New Moon and Gemini Full Moon
November’s Planetary Energies: Emerging from the Shadows
By Gil Dwyer
November begins with Pluto making its presence felt, hovering at 3 degrees of Aquarius — its recent station direct after its intense backward journey over the last six months. Apart from Jupiter, all the other planets are still doing the retro dance, and Mars will go retrograde next month.
Venus is currently retracing its steps in Libra, having moved a couple of weeks ago from the focus on Scorpio’s deep emotional underworld towards an emphasis on self-worth and balance and fairness within relationships.
Meanwhile, Mercury’s retrograde trip through Scorpio is shifting the mental energy away from surface-level small talk, into penetrating to the core of reality and unearthing emotional truth.
Scorpio New Moon: Independence and Emotional Truth
The Scorpio New Moon becomes exact at 6:03 pm on 9 November. At 17 degrees, it is symbolised as: A Woman, Filled with Her Own Spirit is the Father of Her Own Child.
This symbol indicates an ability to cope with being on one’s own and to look after the details of one’s life without the help of others.
With the Sun and Moon in the sign of Scorpio, we are encouraged to delve especially deep, ideally bringing something to light from our shadow side, with the intention of clearing the way forward. We tend to feel nurtured when giving and/or receiving emotionally intense energy.
The Moon and Sun are only one minute away from exactly sesquisquaring Neptune, creating a tense push-and-pull between deep emotional truth and hazy illusion.
Mercury Direct and Venus Direct: A Turning Point
In a highly unusual combination, Mercury in Scorpio stations to go direct on 14 November, with Venus in Libra following suit the very next day.
This may represent a notable turning point, or an emergence from the swamp, bringing clarity.
The Sun Enters Sagittarius: Ideals and Aspirations
The Sun moves into Sagittarius on 22 November, where creative energy is directed towards expressing one’s ideals and aspirations and may include promoting them to others.
Gemini Full Moon: Community, Communication and Transformation
The intense Gemini Full Moon opposes the Sagittarius Sun at 1:54 am on 25 November. At 3 degrees, it is symbolised as: A House-Raising Party in a Small Village Enlists the Neighbours’ Cooperation.
This describes the feeling of community demonstrated in a basic joint effort.
At Full Moons, extraneous responsibilities and unrealistic fantasies will tend to be expunged in order to allow fresh growth. The Gemini Full Moon adapts to change by using the mind and making connections.
The Full Moon provides a moment of truth when we see and feel things for what they are.
This Full Moon forms a sextile to Neptune, building a bridge between psychological honesty and spiritual surrender, while a trine with Pluto combines quick-thinking and curious air energy with deep, transformative intensity.
A conjunction with Uranus brings sudden mental breakthroughs and a strong urge to break free from old mental patterns or communication habits.
Mars Enters Virgo: Energy Directed Towards Service
Having created momentum when it merged with Jupiter on 16 November, Mars moves into Virgo on 26 November, where an underlying need to serve influences physical energy and willpower.
Uranus Trine Pluto: Collective Change and Transformation
The Pluto–Uranus square of 2012–15 brought a dynamic tension between radical change (Uranus in Aries) and deep-seated societal restructuring (Pluto in Capricorn), fuelling intense upheaval, technological shifts and demands for freedom, echoing the revolutionary 1960s when their energies merged.
From 2026–2027, Uranus will trine Pluto three times, and the second of these trines occurs on 30 November.
This may represent a reconciliation, and we may see a change in many conflicts around the world, where grievances are addressed and understanding leads to a remarkable transformation.
Expect innovative breakthroughs and systemic transformation, as Uranus in Gemini harmonises with Pluto in Aquarius, fostering integration, new technologies and societal evolution from the revolutionary seeds planted in the 1960s.
This uplifting aspect is sure to bring lasting change, blending Gemini’s focus on communication and technology with Aquarius’s collective ideals, leading to progress in governance, media and collective movements.
