Read on for this month’s astrology forecast and lunar guidance.
Trusting the Unknown: Gemini New Moon and Capricorn Full Moon
June 2026 is another major change month. All month Uranus is forming a square to the nodes as it nears completion of its cycle in Pisces, with the opposing South Node in Virgo. This is like a lightning shock setting us free from overthinking and the need for perfection, teaching us to trust our intuition and encouraging a release of the need to know precisely what will happen next.
Chiron enters Taurus on the 19th of June, Mars enters Gemini on the 28th of June, and Jupiter enters Leo on the 29th of June for a year-long stay. The month closes on the 30th of June with a grounded Capricorn Full Moon and the start of Mercury Retrograde in Cancer.
Mercury Enters Cancer & Venus-Jupiter Alignment
Mercury goes into Cancer on the 1st of June shifting the communication zeitgeist to a focus on emotion, instinct and sensitivity as we tend to be more protective of our own thoughts.
On the 10th of June Venus merges with Jupiter in Cancer prompting the expression of love to be more open, expansive and compassionate. Then Venus moves into Leo on the 13th of June where emotionally tinged tastes are influenced by one’s pride and an urge for recognition.
Gemini New Moon – 15 June 2026
The Gemini New Moon occurs at 12:54pm on the 15th of June. At 25 degrees it is symbolised as: A Gardener Trimming Large Palm Trees, which goes to the repeated need for pruning to bring under control nature’s power of expansion.
With the Sun and Moon in Gemini, this is a time when one feels secure in responding to a variety of mental stimuli and in being involved in more than one activity at a time. It gives life to new ideas, plans and choices.
Chiron Enters Taurus – 20 June 2026
Chiron, the wounded healer, enters Taurus on the 20th of June where it will remain until 2033 after retrograding back into Aries in September for eight months.
It has been in Aries since 2018 teaching us to be courageous, to embrace authentic self-assertion, and to heal the wounded masculinity through self-compassion.
Chiron shows us where we are wounded, but also how we can learn from our wounds. While facing our demons and processing our hurt feelings can be uncomfortable, we gain valuable wisdom in the process.
When Chiron is in the fixed earth sign, Taurus, we can expect to work through problems related to stability, money, food, art, reproductive rights, or the natural world. When Chiron retrogrades back into Aries there will be a final opportunity to face any barriers to fighting for what you believe in.
Winter Solstice & the Sun Enters Cancer
The Sun moves into Cancer on the 21st of June where one feels an instinctual urge to protect one’s ego and builds the inner self a nest from which it can safely radiate.
This marks the shortest day of the year, the Winter Solstice.
Capricorn Full Moon – 30 June 2026
The Capricorn Full Moon exactly opposes the Cancer Sun at 9:56 am on the 30th of June.
At nine degrees it is symbolised as: An Angel Carrying a Harp and references the revelation of the spiritual meaning and purpose at the core of any life situation.
This is about attunement to the rhythm of universal life, with angels considered as personifications of various aspects of this life.
The Capricorn Full Moon is a time when one tends to react with self-control and determination and there’s a need to manipulate the world and others in order to feel secure and to have authority.
We are urged to balance our self-protection needs at home with our need to make change in our wider environment, while we might be overwhelmed with ideas and information.
A square to Neptune suggests that we might experience strong, intuitive feelings which override our best laid plans.
Jupiter Enters Leo & Mercury Retrograde in Cancer
Later the same day Jupiter, planet of the higher mind and expansion, moves from caring Cancer into Leo, where it will remain until July 2027.
With the planet of abundance and wisdom in Leo we are in the territory of bolder, more dramatic self-expression encouraging generosity but not precluding issues around attention-seeking.
The Lion is known for doing things on a grand scale, and this placement provides an opportunity to heal any fears or insecurities that keep you from shining on life’s stage.
Finally Mercury goes retrograde in Cancer on the 30th of June promoting deep emotional reflection and family reconnections, although be aware of any tendency to miscommunicate.
