A Glimmer of Hope at the Aquarian Full Moon

Venus moved into Libra on the 16th of August where the desire is to bring things into balance. This suggests a welcome move to diplomacy at a time when there’s lots of short term, annoying, planetary background noise. On the 19th of August Mercury and Mars come together in analytical and health focused Virgo. While angry words could follow, hopefully the desire to not waste energy will win over any expression of misplaced anger. Jupiter, Saturn, Neptune and Pluto are all journeying retrograde at the moment bringing reflection, review and revision to many aspects of life. By mid October Pluto followed by Saturn and then Jupiter return to forward movement.  Uranus is about to join the other outer planets in their retrograde direction from the 21st of August. In the week on either side of the Uranian station there is a clear possibility of shocks, disclosures, the odd earthquake as well as the potential for awakening.

Uranus is the ruler of Aquarius and Saturn and Jupiter in that sign of the Age will be joined by the Moon for the upcoming Full Moon. This is the second Aquarian Full Moon in the past month and it occurs at 10:01pm on the 22nd of August at the 29th and final degree, characterised as Moonlit Fields, Once Babylon, are Blooming White. This speaks to the ability of the person with an open mind and a deep feeling for self-transcendence to come in contact with higher forms of existence. We are reminded at this point of our first tentative steps into the Age of Aquarius that resilience and beauty of spirit will continue to push through the odds, regardless of the severity of the challenge. With the Full Moon joining forces with expansive Jupiter we can expect a glimmer of optimism. We may have been having an advanced lesson in just how little control we have over the external circumstances of our lives. Yet there is a lot to be thankful for at the Aquarius Full Moon.

Mars and Uranus are in an energising Trine and there’s plenty of momentum to make important changes in your life with new possibilities and new directions. Perhaps at this time we will forge a sense of how we want to live our life into the future, a future that includes the concept of being alright with not conforming to stereotypes. This is a time for communication and for sharing what we have in common with others. At the same time it’s important to celebrate our differences and feel comfortable in our own skin.

The very next day on Monday the 23rd of August the Sun moves into Virgo, joining Mercury and Mars in such a grounded, practical sign.  May Lockdown Number 6 in Melbourne be at an end by the time the next forecast period leading up to the Virgo New Moon!
