A Pot of Gold at the End of the Rainbow at the Taurean New Moon

With the Sun moving into Taurus on the 20th of April, just three days ahead of the Taurus New Moon, the fiery energy of Aries is toned down and the focus becomes more embodied, stable and productive. While we may feel more at ease with the Sun in Taurus, the very next day we will be made more aware of the current limits on our freedom, with perhaps doubts and feelings of inadequacy surfacing for healing at this time. This is associated with a square forming between the Sun and Saturn and this too shall pass.

The Taurean New Moon occurs at 12:26 pm on Thursday the 23rd of April at the fourth degree of Taurus which is auspiciously characterized as A Pot of Gold at the End of the Rainbow. This speaks to a bridge between the divine and the embodied and calls forth faith in the validity of a promise. There is a message here that one need not be overpowered by the celestial display of power for it leads to a friutful contact with beings of light. This is a natural form of communion involving the transubstantiation of matter, a concept that somehow feels more feasible at this transformative time.

A Taurean New Moon is typically about getting back to basics. It signals the ability to remain stable and poised when facing outer demands and promotes the idea that inner contentment comes through waiting, stillness and especially relating to the natural world. However with maverick Uranus just three degrees away from the Sun and the Moon we can also anticipate some sort of shake up, with the purpose of taking us to a higher level at this time.

There is much talk about the links between the Corona Virus, the associated disruption of the economy and climate change and Taurus is the sign most immediately associated with embodiement and the earth. This is a perfect New Moon for setting new intentions for the earth, spreading love and dropping into the here and now. With lots of fixed energy its a great time for slowing down getting in touch with your body and your senses and really listening to nature, as it breaths a sigh of relief with less CO2 emmissions.

We are stardust and at this time we may experience an energetic and physical upgrade as the energy lines on earth are strenghtening and widening, coinciding with a drop in the magnetic shield of the earth.

Mercury forms a square with Pluto on the 26th of April suggesting that’s an urge to penetrate to the core of experience in our communications coupled with a need to learn through intense and transformative experience. A few days later Pluto stations to go retrograde also intensifying the focus on transformation. In the month of May Saturn, Venus and Jupiter will all go retrograde. This highlights the energy of each planet while signalling a time for review, revise, re-evaluaton and re-focus, and suggesting that we are not out of the woods.
